There are so many sayings about how starting off on the wrong foot might lead us to something good but very little about how even the most beautiful things could bring us pain. 



Like Shelley said, spring always follows winter. But sometimes it's the other way around. 


There are two songs in my playlist that always follow one another like they're tied together. 



Once is a happenstance and twice is a coincidence. This has happened too often to be a coincidence. 


One of those songs is ‘’ You're the inspiration” by Chicago and the other is “All out of love” by Air supply. 


“You're the inspiration’ is all about finding that one person who somehow changes us for better. They inspire us to become the best version of ourselves. 


They come into our life and suddenly everything is better. It feels too good to be true and it looks as if the good times are eternal. 


They become a part of our lives to the point where we cannot imagine breathing without them. 


You're the meaning in my life

You bring feeling to my life

You're the inspiration

Wanna have you near me

I wanna have you hear me sayin'

"No one needs you more than I need you”

And “All out of love” is about things going south and the said person leaving. Now you're lying on an empty bed feeling so lost. What do I do now that you're gone? 


It's like pleading “Come back to me, for no one needs you more than I do. Your love is thing that kept me going and now I'm so lost without my inspiration.”

For times when my life seems so low

I never chose to listen to them together. But it always leaves me tormented and torn apart. It reminds me of how devastating and absurd love is.

The enlightenment at the "Seruppu kadai "

Two days back, I got myself a new pair of shoes. Like anyone would, I only bought after trying them and walking around the store. The next day, I wore them to work, and they felt awful and uncomfortable. Painful, even.   So the whole day, I was mostly barefoot. That very evening, I wanted to return the shoes, but I was reluctant, because I’d worn them once and they looked slightly soiled. Still, I took them home, scraped the bottoms with a wet cloth, and made sure they looked new.  When I told my mom that I was going to return them, she said, “No one in their right mind would refund or exchange old shoes.  It doesn't matter whether you've worn them for an hour, a day, or a month.” I still wanted to try—‘cause what would I do with shoes that don't fit me? What an awful day. Exhaustion slowly engulfs you, devouring every drop of energy left. You're drained to the point where it feels tangible—like your weariness is a person standing next to you. Like it’s someone standing on your shadow, holding you back from moving forward. You're beat, but you’ve managed not to crumble, not to collapse. It’s the kind of tiredness that sleep won’t wash away. You reach for your earphones and plug them in. The rhythm hits—almost as if it’s been customized just for you. You’re not sure whether to laugh or cry. But all you need is the company of this song. For, i t feels like you’re being cradled in a pair of arms, whispering sweet nothings to you with utmost delicacy. It reminds you that the day wasn’t the best, but at least it’s over.
