Love : Mending differences and hearts

Wise men say, “Only fools rush in.” But I can't help falling in love with you. Love is a thing of the human race, and you and I are no exception. Be it cringe or cliché, one way or another, we all yearn for love.

Love doesn't come with a user manual, nor does it have any criteria. It doesn't require experience, nor is it time-bound.

But if you think finding someone as similar to you is all it takes to have your happily ever after, newsflash: it is not.

You don't find love; it finds you. Love is daring. Love is trusting. It dares to choose someone who contrasts you yet trusts them.

Love is mending the stark differences between you and your partner and striving to bridge the gap between you. 

When two different people fall in love, it either lasts forever or goes down in flames. Only the young can run, and only the strongest can survive.

When one tips towards the right of a seesaw, the other should be on the left. Love likes to sit and watch everything unfold like it's not a part of it. And sometimes, when they fall on the same side, love balances it perfectly, provided it's strong enough.

Love isn't red or blue; sometimes it's purple. Love isn't black or white; sometimes it's gray. If similarities are the only stance, then not even yin and yang would stand a chance.

Of course, disagreements and quarrels are inevitable. Love doesn't make them go away but finds a middle ground.

Every night owl needs their early bird. Every rock music person needs their light music lover. Every introvert needs their extrovert. Every grump needs their sunshine. Every overthinking partner needs their reassuring partner. Everyone needs their complement , and love mends them in its own ways. If it doesn't, like Taylor Swift says, “Love's never lost if perspective is earned.”

Ultimately, love is staying in your own lane but also looking out for the other. It's where you grow together as well as individually.
